Forestry England parkruns

The largest landowner in England with over 250,000 hectares is Forestry England. With such a large volume of land owned, it is probably not a surprise that there are several Forestry England parkruns across the country, but finding a concise list isn’t always the easiest.

Below I have listed all the current parkruns hosted on Forestry England land, with links to my reviews if I have run them personally. If you think I am missing any from the list, then please drop a message in the comments.

  • Alice Holt parkrun
  • Bedgebury Pinetum parkrun
  • Brandon Country Park parkrun
  • Brockenhurst parkrun
  • Chopwell Wood parkrun
  • Dalby Forest parkrun
  • Delamere parkrun
  • Forest of Dean parkrun
  • Haldon Forest parkrun
  • Hamsterley Forest parkrun
  • Kew Woods parkrun
  • Ludlow parkrun
  • Mallards Pike parkrun
  • Moors Valley parkrun

Hiya, Like you, I have tried to keep track of the Forestry England runs. I was recently at Ingrebourne Hill parkrun and met a Forestry England staff member doing a survey there. Despite being a bare-ish and open area of land, the park that Ingrebourne parkrun is held in is owned by Forestry England so you might want to add it to your list. I mentioned to the representative that there is no definitive list on the Forestry England website and she said she would pass this on, so fingers crossed, maybe soon a definitive list could materialise.

Thanks for the heads up! It does surprise me they don’t have a central list as I’ve always seen it well publicised at the locations that have a run when you are there
